Graduate School Research Awards

The purpose of the Graduate School Teaching Awards is to recognize outstanding contributions made to research by graduate students at NDSU. One award of $1000 will be made each year in each college.

Eligibility

  • The graduate student must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled at NDSU.
  • The student must be involved in independent research (may be supervised).
  • Students may not win the award more than once.

Selection Committee

Each college will form a selection committee to determine the award winner for that college. The selection committee membership will be approved by the Dean of the academic college.

Nomination Deadline

Submit nominations to the academic college to which your department belongs. Deadlines are determined by the dean's office of the academic college.

Nomination Requirements

Students will be nominated by the department in which they completed their teaching duties. Each department/program may nominate one individual for the award.

The nomination packet will include:

  • A letter from the department which describes the outstanding research contributions made by the student.
  • A description of the teaching experiences of the nominee. This should include publications, presentation and other significant research accomplishments of the nominee.
  • A two-page (double spaced) statement written by the nominee which describes his or her research interests.
