Services & Programs Provided by the Family HealthCare Center

FHC fulfills a critical role in the community system of care by providing services that assures everyone has access to quality health care. A sliding fee scale is offered for services provided at FHC. Through a team approach, we focus on the total health needs of patients and families, which include the following:
Medical Services
Health care services include physical examinations for all ages, immunizations, Well Baby Exams including Health Tracks and Child/Teen Checkups, annual exams including PAP test and mammogram referrals, prenatal and postpartum care, birth control, illness care for all ages, lab/x-ray, nutrition counseling/education, and case management.
Dental Services
Dental care is available at our Fargo location for all ages including examinations, emergency care, cleanings, and fillings, with the emphasis on preventive care for children.
Pharmacy
Pharmaceutical services are provided on site at our Fargo location.
Women Infants & Children (WIC) Program
WIC serves pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to five years. Nutritional education is provided as well as food such as milk, juice, eggs, and cereal for eligible families. WIC is located at 1102 43rd St. SW, Fargo, ND, and can be reached by calling (701) 227-1455.
Homeless Health Services
Provides comprehensive primary health care to all homeless people in the Fargo-Moorhead area, through a clinic at the Salvation Army and through outreach in the community. The program also provides case management to access mental health and substance abuse services.
Good Medicine Indian Health Services
Provides expanded health education and preventive health services to benefit the Native American community of Fargo-Moorhead. They also provide information and referral for medical needs. GMIHS is located at 234 7th Street N, Fargo, ND, and can be reached by calling (701) 235-6036.
Mental Health Services
Provides counseling and follow up care for the mental and emotional well-being of FHC patients.
Interpreter Services
Provides interpretive services free of charge for patients during their clinic appointments.
Residency Program
FHC has a unique, mutually beneficial relationship with the UND School of Medicine in residency training for family practice physicians. The Residency Program also enables FHC to provide health care to more patients.
