Where
We Are Today
September, 2002 Partners: Entities which have identified their organizations as "officially" partnering in the ongoing development and maintenance of the HCWB Project are as follows: *Clay County Joint
Powers Collaborative WANTED: More "official" partnerships to broaden the community perspective of this project. Although the current website provides linkages to multiples resources in the community, such as HealthCare facilities, the project would be enhanced tremendously if those entities within the communities would join this local partnership and participate in the ongoing development of how local data is collected, analyzed, and presented. In addition, many linkages could be added which clearly direct community members to local resources which are available that impact any of the leading health indicators. Healthy Community Indicators: The early project identified specific goals related to Maternal Child Health Standards. A major change in this project has been the desire of the partners to expand the knowledge base of our community as it relates to the multiple indicators of health that exist and that coordinated community efforts could positively impact. Therefore, the National Healthy People 2010 10 Leading Health Indicators was chosen as the format around which data on the HCWB website would be presented and organized. The 10 indicators are: *Physical Activity *Tobacco Use *Responsible Sexual Behavior *Injury and Violence *Immunization *Overweight and Obesity *Substance Abuse *Mental Health *Environmental Quality *Access to Health Care |
