ACADEMY OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS
Scholarships awarded by the ADAF are generally for ADA members enrolled in the junior or senior year of a baccalaureate or coordinated program in dietetics or the second year of study in a dietetic technician program, a dietetic internship program or a graduate program. The number of scholarships available and their dollar amounts vary from year to year. Graduate, undergraduate and intern scholarships available. Applications are available each year between mid-September and mid-January. The annual deadline for submitting applications is in mid-February. AMERICAN HOTEL AND LODGING EDUCATION FOUNDATION (AH&LEH)
Offers two types of scholarships – Professional Development and Academic Scholarships. To apply for Academic Scholarships you must be enrolled in a U.S. undergrad or graduate hospitality degree program. This year the foundation awarded 292 hospitality management students more than $400,000. The next deadline date for applications is May 1. The recipients should have demonstrated a desire to serve in a career of research, regulatory work, quality control, or teaching in an area related to some aspect of foods, drugs or consumer product safety; should have demonstrated leadership capabilities; and must have at least a 3.0 grade point average during the first two years of undergraduate study. CASS COUNTY AREA RETIRED TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP
Four scholarships of $1000 will be awarded to sophomores or juniors majoring in education (a junior or senior in the school year 2013-2014). Applicants must have graduated from a Cass County N.D. High School and have a B average or better. CLARK E. DEHAVEN SCHOLARSHIP TRUST
Scholarships will be awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in a food service field and planning to have a career in the food service industry. Selection criteria: enrolled full time in a college or university that is a member of the National Association of College and University Food Services, a minimum 2.75 GPA and be in good standing. Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, attending college in the U.S. or Canada during the scholarship award year. GRAND FORKS COUNTY FAMILY AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): One scholarship of $100 will be awarded to a student who will be a junior or senior majoring in Apparel, Design and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The applicant must be a resident of Grand Forks County. Priority will be given to a former 4-H club member or FHA member and/or a child of a present member of a Family and Community Education Club. ARNIE KNODEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

MARY E. LAYCOCK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP/BEULAH KIBBEL MEMORIAL AWARD
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): One scholarship of $285 will be awarded by the North Dakota Association for Family and Community Education (NDFCE) to a junior for use during the senior year. The student must be enrolled in an area of Apparel, Design and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education at NDSU. The Beulah Kibbel Memorial Award has contributed $35 to the $285 scholarship. Use the Laycock/Kibbel Memorial Scholarship application form. EVELYN LENANDER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
To qualify for an award, a student must have completed two full years of college credits and have been accepted in a program leading to a degree in elementary education. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Students who meet the eligibility requirements may reapply for one additional year. Scholarships between $1,000-$3,500 will be awarded.
Preference is given to students having permanent residence within a 25-mile radius of Buffalo Lake and then eligibility will be expanded to include other students from Central Minnesota. Demonstrated financial need is not a requirement, but consideration will be given to the student's need. On-line applications are available on our website at www.communitygiving.org. MARSHALL COUNTY HOMEMAKERS SCHOLARSHIP
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): One scholarship of $200 will be awarded to a sophomore or junior majoring in an area of Apparel, Design and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The student must be a Marshall County, Minnesota, resident. Prior winners of the Marshall County Scholarship are not eligible to reapply. NATIONAL RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) awards scholarships for $2,500 to high school seniors, GED graduates and first time freshman that are enrolling in a foodservice related program. NORTH DAKOTA CONGRESS OF PARENT AND TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): Scholarships of $500 will be offered to students in the field of general education who have completed two or more years of college toward that education degree. The applicant must be a resident of North Dakota and enrolled full time for two semesters of the school year for which application is made. NORTH DAKOTA CONFERENCE OF SOCIAL WELFARE, INC
Each year the NDCSW selects up to one (1) graduate and eight (8) undergraduate students for up to a $500 scholarship. The scholarships are awarded at the annual conference, which is held in September each year. The scholarship selection is based on the student’s interest in: 1) social welfare reform; 2) advocating for the underprivileged; and 3) being a leader in social welfare issues. The student must write an essay of 1000 words or less about their interest in the three areas listed above; why you would like to be a member of the NDCSW; what benefits there are to membership in the NDCSW; what committee you would like to serve on; and, how you would like to or intend to become involved as a member of the NDCSW. NORTH DAKOTA DIETETIC ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPOne $500 scholarship awarded to a full-time student in their junior year of an accredited dietetics program with a minimum GPA of 3.0, be a member of the American Dietetic Association with North Dakota as their chosen affiliate. NORTH DAKOTA INTERIOR DESIGNER SCHOLARSHIP
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): To be eligible, applicant must currently be in their third year in the NDSU Interior Design program as well as an active NDID member (membership dues paid). Two students will receive $750 toward their fourth year in the Interior Design program at NDSU. Awarded amounts will be given directly to the recipients prior to the beginning of the school year. NORTH DAKOTA NUTRITION COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student from NDSU or UND who majors in a nutrition-related field. The scholarship recipient will also receive free registration to the NDNC spring conference. Students who will be sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior majoring in (Dietetics, Community Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, etc.) Be a member of North Dakota Nutrition Council, and have a GPA greater that 3.0. STEELE COUNTY HOME ECONOMICS ASSOCIATION

WILKIN COUNTY CROP IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
(MAIL IN APPLICATION ONLY): The Wilkin County Crop Improvement Association is sponsoring one $500 scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year. The applicant must be a resident of Wilkin County and pursuing a college degree in an agriculture-related field including engineering, food and nutrition, nursing, human services, and accounting. WOMEN'S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The NDSU Women's Club is providing two $1,000 scholarships to be awarded for use beginning Fall Semester 2012. Guidelines for selection are: Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or above at the end of Fall 2011 semester; A student from North Dakota, South Dakota or Minnesota; Junior or senior status during the upcoming fall semester, regardless of age; Extracurricular, leadership, and/or community involvement; Letters of reference from at least two NDSU-related persons, one of whom is a major professor.
