Two scholarships of $410 will be awarded to sophomore, junior or senior students with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, exhibiting leadership qualities, showing professional promise, character and providing service to the community. Financial need will be considered when other qualifications are equal. One award will go to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. One award will go to a student majoring in Dietetics. Recipients must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.


ALBA BALES SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $390 will be awarded to an active member of Phi Upsilon Omicron-Beta Chapter who demonstrates leadership potential. Recipient must be enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education and taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement.  Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS STUDENT CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships of $250 will be awarded by the NDSU Student Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) to students enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education. Applicants must be a member of the NDSU Student ASID Chapter (membership dues paid), receiving a major in Interior Design. Selection criteria is based on academic performance (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00), active involvement in the NDSU Student Chapter of ASID, and financial need. The recipients must be third or fourth year students enrolled in the Interior Design program taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at the time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $420 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education pursuing a career in Apparel, Retail Merchandising and Design. Selection is based on financial need as defined by the Office of Financial Aid at NDSU. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $420 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Selection criteria: high academic profile and financial need (as a secondary consideration). Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

DR. JOSEPHINE BARTOW RUUD SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $2500 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education and majoring in one of the following: Apparel, Retailing Merchandising and Design; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics/Nutrition; Interior Design; Hospitality and Tourism Management; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The recipient must have demonstrated financial need, be a full-time student with a minimum CGPA of 2.75. Recipients are eligible to reapply annually.  First preference will be given to a single parent, undergraduate or graduate level. If there is not an eligible applicant who meets the first preference, the second preference would be the non-traditional/older student who has a child raised in a single parent family.

GRACE E. BAYLISS GOLD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Three scholarships of $1000 will be awarded to outstanding students with financial need. One of the scholarships will be awarded to a current freshman to be received in their sophomore year, one to a sophomore to be received in their junior year, one to a junior to be received in their senior year. The students must be enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

DEAN CHARLOTTE BENNETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a junior or senior to provide financial support. The student must be enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Preference is also based on active involvement in the leadership of the student member section of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, and other campus and community organizations. Applicant must have and must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

BOARD OF VISITORS SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $1250 will be awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education and majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Education; or Health, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences. The recipient must exhibit financial need, be active in student organizations, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Board members will interview the final applicants on Saturday, February 21st, 2015. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

Two scholarships of $475 will be awarded to freshmen or sophomore students enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Selection is also based on academic aptitude, character, and vocational promise. Financial need will be considered but is not a limiting factor. Recipients must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

KATHERINE BURGUM OUTSTANDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $560 will be awarded to an undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Selection is based on outstanding contributions to the college through service to professional and college organizations. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $500 is awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management.  Applicant must be a member of the Hospitality Student Association (HSA) and taking a minimum of 12 graded credits.  The recipient must be a junior or senior at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One award of $200 will be awarded by the Fargo-Moorhead Area Home Economists to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Selection criteria: a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, financial need and demonstrate leadership qualities. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

FASHION, APPAREL AND BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AWARD

One scholarship of $100 will be awarded by the Fashion Apparel and Business Organization (FABO) to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education.  The student must be a member of FABO (membership dues paid), receiving a major or minor in Apparel, Retail Merchandising and Design, and have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher. The award is based on academic performance, student involvement and leadership in FABO. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

AGNES M. HANSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships of $660 will be awarded to students enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education who will be a junior or senior in Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The students must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher. Preference given to applicants who demonstrated both financial need and a history of community service and student leadership. Recipients must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

VIRGINIA L. HASSOUN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a woman enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education in an area of: Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The primary intent of this scholarship is to help and encourage international women students from developing countries. The recipient must be a full time student taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement who has a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or greater and financial need. Preference will be given to an international student from a developing country. If such a student does not qualify in a given year, the scholarship will be awarded to a North Dakota resident, meeting the above criteria.  Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

BETH E. AND RODNEY C. HASTINGS SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships of $1035 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education who is majoring in Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; Family and Consumer Sciences Education or Agricultural Education at North Dakota State University. Applicant must maintain high academic standards and exhibit the need for financial assistance. Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum of 12 graded credits at the time of application and during the time of disbursement of the award. Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $740 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits and a junior or senior at time of award disbursement.  Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

HOSPITALITY STUDENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships of $500 will be awarded to two students (one Freshman/Sophomore and one Junior/Senior) enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education and declaring a major or minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and be active members in the Hospitality Student Association with dues paid. The recipients must be taking a minimum of 12 credits at the time of award disbursement and if applying as a Junior/Senior, recipients must have a job in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry. The recipients will attend the HDE Honors Day Award Ceremony in April.

HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD

One scholarship of $1500 will be awarded to the outstanding student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education, majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Education or Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences. The student must be a member of a university student organization that is related to their major and possess junior or senior standing. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

JANECEK SCHOLARSHIP FUND

One scholarship of $315 will be awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Retail Merchandising and Design or Interior Design. Selection will be based on involvement in a student organization of Apparel and Textiles or Interior Design and a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher. Preference will be given to Phi Kappa Phi members who meet the above criteria. Recipient must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a senior or graduate student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education for continued study in Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences at NDSU.  The award is based on academic performance, leadership, character, and potential for professional promise in the field of Human Development and Education. At the time of disbursement, recipient must be a senior with a minimum of 12 graded credits or a full-time graduate student.  Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

Seven scholarships of $1985 will be awarded to students enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Selection criteria: Students who have demonstrated scholarly achievement, personal integrity and have financial need. Preference is given (in descending order) to Cass County residents not living in Fargo, then Fargo residents, then international students. Recipients must be taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

NORTH DAKOTA INTERIOR DESIGNER SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education. and majoring in Interior design. At the time of disbursement, the recipient will be in the fourth year of the program. The student must be an active-paid member of NDID at the time of application and disbursement and continue throughout their fourth year in the program. A student must have a CGPA minimum of 3.25 on the 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to students active in ASID when all other criteria is met. Complete the attached form and mail completed application as indicated.

One scholarship of $700 will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. One scholarship of $225 will be awarded to a junior or senior in the College of Human Development and Education with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference for selection will be given to candidates who meet one or more of the following: A career interest of serving in the U.S Peace Corps after graduation; a contributor to or staff of the Spectrum; Student Senator; an employed part-time worker with with a full-time academic schedule; a current or past member of the NDSU Student Organization - Young Democrats.  Recipient must be taken a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $1000 is awarded to an undergraduate enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management.  Recipient must be taking a minimum of 15 graded credits at time of award disbursement and must have a cumulative 2.75 GPA or higher.  Preference given to students who are active members in one of the following student organizations:  American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Fashion, Apparel and Business Organization (FABO), or Hospitality Student Association (HSA).  Financial need will be considered but is not a limiting factor.  Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.

One scholarship of $250 will be awarded to an undergraduate student in the College of Human Development and Education who is majoring in an area of Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management; Human Development and Family Science; Dietetics; or Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Four scholarships of $2,395 are awarded to sophomore, junior or senior students enrolled in the College of Human Development and Education with a need for financial assistance. Students must have an academic excellence with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and taking a minimum of 12 graded credits at time of award disbursement. Priority will be given to female students from North Dakota who are pursuing a career in Apparel, Retail Merchandising and Design.  Recipient must attend the Honor's Day celebration.
