HD&E Leadership Council serves as a liaison between the students, the faculty, and the Dean. The Council coordinates special events for the College and promotes active student participation.
Activities may include Student Leadership Dinner; recruitment projects, Faculty Appreciation Day, HDE Day, Wassail Tea and other special events in the College.

Phi Upsilon Omicron is a National Honor Society which provides leadership for the profession by working together to recognize and promote academic excellence; develop qualities of professional and personal leadership; provide opportunities for service to the profession; and, encourage professional and personal integrity. The membership qualifications are based upon scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Activities may include a professional project and a community service project. The organization sponsors the Outstanding Educator Award which is recognized at the Annual Founder's Day Banquet.
