DAKOTA CHAPTER DAR RHODA FREER NEWMAN
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hansen of Hunter, North Dakota established this scholarship in 1983 and since their deaths, their daughter, Kathleen Purser of Perley, Minnesota has assumed the role of donor. The History Department awards the scholarship in alternate years to the outstanding junior majoring in history. The department bases its choice both on the candidate's previous academic record and on her or his promise of future contributions to the field of history.
