Employee Discounts
A number of local and national vendors offer discounts for NDSU employees. The Office of Human Resources/Payroll sells discounted movie tickets year-round and seasonally sells discounted Red River Valley Fair and ValleyFair tickets.
Movie Tickets
Marcus Theater movie tickets are available for purchase for $8.00 per ticket. Tickets may be purchased from the Office of Human Resources/Payroll during regular business hours. With each purchase of two movie tickets, a $3.00 voucher for snacks is given. Only cash or check is acceptable for payment.
Red River Vally Fair - 2013
The NDSU HR/Payroll Office now has 2013 Red River Valley Fair tickets available to sell to NDSU employees. Only cash or checks (made payable to RRVF) will be accepted. No refunds. The ticket options are as follows:
Gate Admission Tickets - $5.00 each (saving of $3.00 per ticket )
- Normally sells for $8 each - Each ticket allows ONE person into the Fairgrounds. Once on the grounds, you will be able to see all the stage shows, exhibits AND the concerts. This ticket does not allow you to ride the carnival rides.
- This ticket is the best deal if you plan to go to concerts or just want to walk around the Fair.
Mega Ride Pass - $50 each (savings of $10-$20)
- Each ‘voucher’ sells for $50 - Once you buy the (BLUE) voucher, you will need to get a personalized picture ID card. You can either come to the RRVF Office between June 24th and July 8th, (closed July 4,5,6,7) between the hours of 8:30-4:00 pm to receive them. During the Fair, redeem at the mobile office south of the main gate only.
- Each ticket allows ONE person to enter the Fairgrounds ALL six days of the Fair. Unlimited carnival rides EVERY day and free grandstand shows, exhibits, stage shows etc. Basically this ticket is everything but the food you want to buy and the games of chance you want to play!
- This ticket is only available for $50 to select employer ticket outlets. The price is $60 the month of May and $70 in June and July at all other outlets. Huge savings if purchased through NDSU.
Daily Ride Passes $25 each : (includes gate admission)
- Each ticket sells for $25.
- Each ticket is good for only ONE day.
- Each ticket allows one person gate admission AND unlimited carnival rides for one day AND grandstand shows, free stage shows, exhibits etc.
Valleyfair Tickets
Valleyfair tickets are available for purchase from the Office of Human Resources/Payroll during regular business hours during the ValleyFair season.

FARGODOME Group Sales Events
Only tickets purchased at the FARGODOME box office are available at a discount for NDSU employees for events that allow group sales. Please contact the FARGODOME directly for information.
Merchant Discounts
Some area merchants offer discounts to NDSU employees. These discounts are run directly through the company and are subject to change at any point. The NDSU HR/Payroll Office is simply making the information available to employees.
