Upcoming Changes in Paperwork for Temporary and Student Employees
Effective May 1, 2013, Bison Connection will no longer distribute or accept HR/Payroll paperwork for new temporary and student employees who are starting jobs on the Fargo campus. All new or returning temporary and student employees on the Fargo campus need to either come to the HR/Payroll office to complete the HR/Payroll new hire paperwork or complete the paperwork within their departments.
For those on-campus departments who wish to have these employees complete the paperwork within their departments, the HR/Payroll office is offering training next week. Due to significant changes on Form I-9, even if you received training at an earlier date you MUST attend one of these 2 sessions next week in order to continue this practice within the department. If you do not have a representative attend a session you will not be authorized to complete Section 2 of Form I-9. If a department does not send a representative to a session they must send their new temporary and student employees to the HR/Payroll office for paperwork completion.
Off-campus departments are welcome to attend this training but will also receive email communication at a later date with further information and instruction on these procedures for their areas.
