Q: Do you accept paper applications?
A: No. Paper applications, faxes and emails are not accepted and unsolicited resumes will not be added to any applicant pool.
Q: What resources are available if I need assistance completing my application?
A: You may email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the Office of Human Resources/Payroll at (701) 231-5677 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. In addition, there is an employment kiosk located in the lobby of the Office of Human Resources/Payroll (1919 N. University Drive, H102, Fargo ND 58102) with customer service staff members available to provide individual assistance.
Q: How do I get the contact name for a position?
A: Email your request to email@example.com.
Q: Do I have to fill out an application?
A: Everyone who applies for a position at North Dakota State University is required to create an application. All required information is denoted with an asterisk (*). However, the more information you provide, the easier it will be to effectively evaluate your skills, abilities and qualifications. In order to be considered an applicant, you must complete and submit an online application for a specific position opening.
Q: If I have a disability, should I note it on the application? When should I notify the University of the disability?
A: The disability should not be noted on the application, however you may contact the Office of Human Resources/Payroll at (701) 231-5677 if you need to request an accommodation in completing the application or thereafter. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), North Dakota State University will provide reasonable accommodation to applicants who make their requests known in advance.
Q: Why can’t I apply for the same position more than once? It was posted more than once.
A: If you have already applied to a position and it is reposted, the system will not allow you to reapply as this would create duplicate information. Your original application will be considered for the position opening. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have further questions.
Q: I accidentally withdrew my application from a position and the system won’t let me reapply. What can I do?
A: Please be extremely careful when withdrawing your application from a position. Once you have applied to a position, the system will not allow you to reapply. Contact email@example.com if you have further questions.
Q: How can I submit my DD214 and letter of disability for Veteran’s Preference?
A: If you have an electronic (scanned) version of your DD214 and/or letter of disability, you may attach those during the application process under the “Attach Documents” section. If you do not have an electronic version, you may mail or fax your documents to:
