What Is an Acceptable Service Learning Activity?

This is a qualitative judgment made by the graduate assistant with information supplied by the student. To initiate the process, write an e-mail to the graduate assistant stating

1.      The general activity

2.      The date of activity

3.      More specifically, who (people, organization, program) is receiving service

4.      How the activity qualities as history-related

Some examples of acceptable history-related activities: participating in a heritage event or performing other service at a museum or historic site; helping with a centennial celebration; helping to restore a historic building (list to be expanded as things come up).
