Instructors for HIST 103 DCE

The designer and writer of the course is Tom Isern, Professor of History at NDSU.  Dr. Isern teaches a full schedule and then some, and so he employs assistants as co-instructors of the course.  These are not graduate teaching assistants; they are co-instructors, with full authority over the sections for which they are responsible.  Dr. Isern is responsible for content of the course; it is his voice you hear in the lectures.  He also converses directly with students about History and course content in his Virtual Office Hours.  The day-to-day management of the course, however—administration, record-keeping, decision-making, taking care of students—is done by the co-instructors.  These individuals are PhD students in History at NDSU who work closely with Dr. Isern.  As a student, you will be assigned to work with one of these co-instructors.
