A file of "frequently asked questions" or "FAQs" is a standard element in web sites, and so here's one for HIST 104. These are things I get asked repeatedly.

Could you give me the e-mail address of the hunk/babe who sits on the end of the front row? I'm interested in comparing lecture notes. Yeah, right. This isn't a dating service. Introduce yourself, you coward.
Is it OK if I tape the lectures? No, not unless you have a documented disability and the privilege of tape-recording is an approved accommodation.
I missed class, so can I get a copy of your lecture notes?Nope. Better do some networking with your classmates.
What's your dog's name?Arnold Toynbee. He's named for the English historian famous for the historical theory of challenge-and-response. If you ask me, this dog is mostly challenge and not much response.
