What Is an Acceptable Service Learning Activity?

This is a qualitative judgment made by the graduate assistant with information supplied by the student. To initiate the process, write an email to the graduate assistant stating

1.      The general activity

2.      The date(s) of activity

3.      More specifically, who (people, organization, program) is receiving service

4.      How the activity qualifies as history-related

Some examples of acceptable history-related activities: participating in a heritage event or performing other service at a museum or historic site; helping with a centennial celebration; helping to restore a historic building; organizing a reunion; working on projects for the NDSU History and Traditions Council.
