Quiz 3 & Virtual Office Hours

Quiz 3 is now available at http://www.plainsfolk.com/webquiz/quizzes/104quiz3.asp

I plan to be in the Virtual Office tonight between 7 and 8 p.m. CDST. I am packing up today to leave for Fargo tomorrow morning, so if you stop by and I am logged on, but don't respond, give me a couple of minutes. When you log on, enter your first and last name, and choose the no password option.

Once I leave Savannah, tomorrow, I will not have reliable internet service until I get to Fargo Sunday or Monday. I will keep in touch as best I can. In the meantime, keep up the Gap discussions. Some of you are doing well, some need to get on board!

In the Mail

Just confirming what Mr. Cummings has written--the CDs containing the lectures for the course went into the mail on Thursday. Anyone who had supplied an address to Mr. Cummings by that date should receive them in good time. In the envelope you will find three CDs, each containing five lectures.

Quiz 1

CDs have been mailed out, and if you have not received yours, you should shortly. If you do not receive yours by Tuesday, let me know. I have posted the first quiz. You can locate it at the URL below. Make sure you right-click on the link, then select "Open in New Window."

You will need your username and password to log on. Make sure you turn off ALL pop-up blockers on your computer BEFORE you log on. If you don't, the program will not accept your quiz and you will not receive a score!!!

Virtual Office Hours

I plan to be in the Virtual Office on Thursday, May 17 from 7 to 8 p.m. Central Daylight Savings Time. Stop in with questions you may have, or just conversation about History in General. It appears we have a talented group this semester.

I still need six mailing addresses!!!

Getting Started for the Summer!?!

Greetings to all those enrolled in HIST 104 via Distance & Continuing Education, NDSU. I'm the author of the course. I'm not the teacher of the course this summer, though. Your teacher is Bill Cummings (see the Instructors link at top right of the home page). So here at the beginning, you need to make contact with Cummings. Specifically, you need to write him (cummings@plainsfolk.com) an e-mail. Write from the e-mail address you will be using for the course. And, most important, give him your postal mailing address. He has to have that, now! We need to mail you the set of CDs containing the lectures for the course. All right, good luck! Remember Cummings is your man for all arrangements in the course. And do write him right away.
