Updating for Spring 2008

Greetings to all those enrolled in HIST 381 for spring term. I've been doing some work on the website, as well as other materials for the course. Although there will be further improvements and revisions (that never ends!), I'm substantially ready to go, and looking forward to teaching this course again. Take a look around the website, see what the course is about.

Spring Term 2008

Just starting to gear up for the spring 2008 offering of the course - looking forward to it. I haven't done any rehab of the website yet, but I just ordered a new selection of Australian films. Yes, for those of you brimming with anticipation, it includes Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Once again this semester I intend to meet the class a couple of times from New Zealand, during my anual research junket to Otago. Another new wrinkle - I'm trying out the new course delivery system, Wimba, and hope to use it to bring in some guest lecturers from both New Zealand and Australia. The class currently is maxed out at 70 enrollment; I'm not sure about a waiting list.
