Well, Tyler is consistent in his insistence that there is a neoconservative alternative to the Tory-social democratic consensus in Canada. Personally, man, I think neoconservativism has crested, and Canada is returning to some sort of evolving normalcy, but perhaps I (a confessed Red Tory) am just being wishful.
Chris asks about my somewhat flippant reference to "targets of opportunity" as sources for the pop culture paper. OK, that's pretty vague, I know. What I mean is, there are certain standard sources you will certainly use for this sort of assignment (books, articles, web materials), but on any particular topic there may be other sorts of sources you can pick up, which I can't anticipate. Those are the targets of opportunity. I'm saying, if there's good material out there, in whatever format, use it.
Note this Thursday the 22nd I'm in Salt Lake, so no class.
