Folklore Report for HIST 431: Fall Suppers

An optional assignment in HIST 431 is to attend a fall supper, research its background, make a report, and exhibit a poster depicting the event. For background on fall suppers as community institutions, and a directory of fall suppers on the northern plains, see Fall Suppers of the Northern Plains. The general idea of the assignment is to research the background of a fall supper event; to attend the supper, observing its features and customs; to gather documentation on the fall supper tradition; and to situate the event in the culture of the plains.
