Making a Poster with PowerPoint Certain assignments call on you to present highlights of your findings in the form of a poster. This poster is composed in PowerPoint. The printing will be done by the graphics shop in the Memorial Union, no charge to the student. Before beginning to compose, assemble the digital materials you will be using. This includes both text to be pasted into the PPT slide and images to be inserted. Then, open the poster template in Powerpoint. Click on the appropriate link, and if you have Powerpoint on your computer, the template should open in PowerPoint. Or you can right-click to download the template. Write or paste your text into the text boxes. 3. Insert your photos. Be sure to maintain the scale and symmetry of the template as you add your materials to it. Proof the product and look it over carefully. It’s a good idea to have someone else examine it, too. Done? Then send the PowerPoint file, as an email attachment, to the teaching assistant for the course. The TA will check it for any problems; if any are found, then the file may be returned to you for revision or correction. When the PowerPoint file of the poster is complete and approved, the teaching assistant will convert it into a PDF and deliver it to the graphics shop in the Memorial Union. |
