Film Review: Blazing Saddles

I not sure if this is the right type of movie for the film review, but I figured it's a good movie and it takes place on the plains. I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite movies of all time, it is a great parody on the old western cowboy movies. That being said if you are easily offended than this is not a movie for you. Basically it is like any other Mel Brooks movie, throw as many jokes as you can into a movie and make sure to offend as many people as you can. Despite this Blazing Saddles has become a comedy classic, even though it would most likely never get the funding to be made today. Basically the movie is about a wild west town that is in the way of a planned expansion of the railroad. The town is being attacked by hired thugs from the railroad company and they need a new sheriff. The governor is tricked into sending a black railroad worker to become the sheriff. Predictably at first the town doesn't accept the sheriff, but in the end they rally around him to save the town. Overall it's a very funny movie that gives you a look at the old wild west from a comedic view. I would say that it has little to no meaningful information about the great plains at the time, but if you looking for a movie worth a couple of good laughs and nothing more you won't be disappointed.
