Grassroots History

A Research Seminar of the North American Plains

a.k.a. HIST 710

Tom Isern, Instructor
North Dakota State University

Grassroots History is a graduate-level research seminar. Its regional scope is the Great Plains of North America. Its individual research focus, however, is more local than that. In this course we do historical research and writing that uses local sources and investigates life on the plains at the grassroots. The course is taught via the media of this website and its e-mail list, the Pastime. The course delivers regular, resident graduate credit to qualified students anywhere the Internet goes. Grassroots Hisory is a seminar particularly suited for persons wishing to write for presentation and publication.
