Biography

I'm a second-year grad student at NDSU. I hold a
B.A. in music performance and history from Northern
State University
(Aberdeen, SD), graduating in 2002. My first professional
gig was serving as the administrative assistant for the Aberdeen Area Arts
Council, a job I truly enjoyed. Although arts may have been my first
love, the life of a troubadour is not for me. In the fall of 2005, I
began my studies at NDSU, where I've been a graduate assistant at the ND
Institute for Regional Studies and University Archives and a teaching
assistant for Dr. Isern and Dr. Helgeland, which has kept me very busy.
My main research interests include the U.S./Western history, Great Plains history, and women's
history. This semester is particularly full, since I am
finishing coursework, talking my comps, submitting my thesis prospectus,
and even beginning my thesis research.
