The BS in History at NDSU

 

Unless you are pursuing a degree with specific professional intent—History Education, or Public History—I can't see a reason for you to do the BS degree. You should take the BA, because it is the preferable credential. The chief difference between the two is that the BA requires a foreign language. If you choose the BS, then, it makes it look like you are dodging the hard work of the language requirement.

 

So, my advice is, unless you have a particular professional application in the BS—education or public history—do the BA.
