Program Information

The Social Sciences emphasis area prepares students for management, administrative, regulatory, and policy positions that require a broad understanding of the social, biological, and physical aspects of natural resources management and allocation.

This emphasis area concentrates on human factors (social, political, economic) in environmental management, while recognizing constraints and opportunities presented by physical and biological factors.
