Welcome! We're glad you are considering joining us. For
those of you already here, we thank you for your contributions
and wish you an enjoyable, productive experience at NDSU.
North Dakota State University hosts numerous international
scholars and employs international faculty and staff from
across the globe. Approximately thirty percent of new
tenure-track faculty hires each year are international persons.
Additionally, we employ many international researchers and host
numerous visiting scholars who contribute to our world-class
research environment.
The faculty and scholar services staff within the Office of
International Programs is responsible for assisting with
immigration for all international individuals who are at NDSU
for employment purposes. Deborah Maertens, the Assistant
Director of Faculty Immigration, has over ten years of
experience managing immigration matters for an average of 200
individuals per year at NDSU on visiting scholar and temporary
work visas (J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1). She also assists with the
preparation and filing of permanent residency for those
individuals being sponsored for employment-based green cards at
NDSU.
