Dear Faculty,

The staff of the Office of International Programs at North Dakota State University has compiled this handbook* for faculty and staff who are considering offering a study abroad program and need to know how to proceed.

The contents of this handbook will allow you to get a glimpse of what is in store for the program director before, during, and after the trip abroad. The handbook will also give you step-by-step instructions for setting up accounts, making travel arrangements, paying bills, and making sure that all participants are safe and healthy while away from our campus.

The Office of International Programs staff invites you to take advantage of a program called Project Assist, whereby our office handles the logistics of your program so that, as program director, you're free to deal with the academic aspects of the time abroad.

As updates are made to this handbook, you will receive an e-mail message telling you the Web site for downloading the new information, which you can then use to replace the obsolete page(s).

We hope you find this handbook helpful. Please contact us with any questions or comments.

Kerri Spiering, Director
Office of International Programs
