Dear Students:
The annual Speakers' Fair event is to be held during NDSU's Spring
Break March 15-19th.
The Speakers' Fair is a program where international students share
their alphabet, songs, and stories with local and rural North
Dakota area elementary, middle and high school students. In
addition, many students wear their traditional clothing and bring
money and arts/crafts from their country to share with the school
children. The Speakers' Fair program is such a great way to teach
local students about many cultures of the world, and it exposes
them to diversity. Plus, it's held during NDSU's Spring Break so
you don't even have to miss classes! OIP will provide the
transportation.
If you are interested in signing up to participate in the Speakers'
Fair, please email lianne.lackey@ndsu.edu to sign up!!!
This is a great way to meet cultural service requirements for those
of you receiving a scholarship (You can get up to 6 scholarship
hours).
