Work and Teach Abroad

Overseas Jobs!

Whatever your field of expertise--being a student, being flexible and thinking ahead can land you a summer job that's the envy of all your friends!

Working abroad means understanding international work regulations, immigration rules and the logistics of finding a job, a place to live and a social life abroad.

There are many companies and providers that offer services for students who want to spend up to one year making money while they experience the world. Most work abroad experiences won't make you rich, but they'll often pay for your travel and living expenses. Very few countries allow U.S. citizens to work and make money while they are also studying in that same country. Most work programs and work permits are for work only. Be sure you are familiar with all of the rules and regulations before you leave.

The advantage of work abroad companies and providers is that they have experience in filing the proper paperwork, following the correct procedures, and securing jobs, housing. Plus, as a student, you are often entitled to special short-term work visas other non-students can't obtain.
