The “People, Places and Pre-history” teachers’ workshop takes place in Medora on June 16-17. The workshop will begin at the Community Center. Participants will be shuttled in vans to a State Historical dig site two miles from Medora for some hands-on experience. Participants will get to tour the Highline Trail to explore the western forests and view wildlife on a tour through the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Steve Stark of Fargo will present “Theodore Roosevelt” in person and art in a program open to the general public. Tour the Chateau de Mores and follow the footsteps around the historic Medora community. Learn how geology impacted the geography of the area and receive ready-made related activities. The workshop will conclude with the latest information on the spectacular find of “Dakota,” the dinomummy!
