NOTE: These will work for Thunderbird versions 3.0 and lower, versions greater than 3.0 will not work correctly.

1. Click Tools
   
2. Select Account Settings
   
3. Click Account Actions and Select Add Mail Account
   
4. Fill in the following:
   • Your Name - Put in your name as you would like it to appear
   • Email Address - Enter your NDSU Live email address
   • Password - Enter your NDSU Live email password
   • Uncheck the Remember Password checkbox
5. Click Continue
   
6. Add @my.ndsu.edu to the Username
7. Change the Incoming mail server to pod51000.outlook.com
8. Select IMAP instead of POP
9. Change 110 to 993
10. Select SSL/TLS
11. Change the Outgoing mail server to pod51000.outlook.com
12. Change 25 to 587
13. Select SSL/TLS
    
14. Click Manual Setup
15. Click Server Settings and make sure the User Name is your NDSU Live e-mail address
    
    
    
16. Click OK
17. Select your account, click Get Mail if needed, and enter your password.
18. You should now see your inbox
