Configure Outlook 2007 and 2010

1. Go to home.microsoftonline.com

2. Click Download Sign In under option 1

3. The link will bring you to a Microsoft website, click Download

4. When prompted, click Run

5. The installation program will appear, click Next

6. Now click I accept the terms in the License, then Next

7. Then click Next when asking for the Installation Location

8. Finally, click Install. If a box appears that says User Account Control (Windows Vista and 7 only), click Yes

9. Click Finish when done

10. When the application appears, type in your username and password

Username: Your @ndsu.edu email address

Password: Your NDSU Outlook email password

NOTE: If you are having problems with your username or password, please contact the IT Help Desk at 701-231-8685 option 1 for assistance

11. After the Online Services Sign in Tool finishes logging you in, click on the Options tab

12. Next, click on Advanced Options then Reconfigure my desktop applications

13. Ensure that Microsoft Outlook is the only program that is checked

14. Click Configure Applications

15. Outlook will appear and will begin configuring your email account for its first use. It will take several minutes to synchronize your email, calendar entries, and contacts from your account to your computer
