Upgrading to Windows 7 SP1
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 has been released and is currently available for download from Microsoft's Web site. Computers supported by ITS Desktop Support already have the service pack installed.
Who does this affect?
This upgrade is only available for Windows 7.
When should I upgrade?
We encourage individuals who have not upgraded to SP1 to do so as soon as possible.
ITS has deployed SP1 to all Windows systems they supported by Desktop Support.
How does the upgrade work?
You can go to through Windows Update and install SP1
A number of computers use the North Dakota University System update server (known as WSUS) to receive and install Windows updates. SP1 for Windows 7 has already been deployed to any computers utilizing the WSUS server.
