System Requirements for ITS-supported computers
Workstation computers that are supported by ITS Desktop Support must meet the following hardware and software requirements to be joined to the domain.
Software Requirements
To be supported by Desktop Support in the domain, computers must be running Windows 7. Other departments on campus may join computers with Windows XP to the domain; however, consideration should be given to the complexity of GPOs (Group Policy Objects) and settings required within XP.
Note: Windows XP will continue to work on campus after support ends, and XP will also still be able to connect to File Services manually.

Hardware Requirements
Hardware that is approximatly 5 years of age or newer will be supported. All Dell Latitude E series computers and Optiplex 755 desktops should be able to join the domain.
