ZENworks version 11.2.1
ZENworks is an application that is used by ITS to assist in the management of computers. This software provides many benefits:
- remote control feature
- software deployment
- hardware reporting
- OS and application version reporting
Upgrade to Version 11.2.1
Currently ITS is using version 11.0 and will deploy version 11.2.1 to supported offices during the month of September 2012. This upgrade will be automated through the ZENworks application itself. There is little to no user interaction needed. A restart will be required to complete the installation but this can be postponed by the customer.
Who does this affect?
This upgrade only applies to Windows XP and Windows 7 machines that are supported by Desktop Support and currently running ZENworks.
How does the upgrade work?
- Desktop Support will deploy, in a semi-random manner across campus.
- The files required for the install will be automatically copied to the computer via ZEN version 11.
- Once copied, the installer auto starts with no customer interaction required.
- The following message may be seen as the upgrade is installed.

- Once completed, the system may request a restart, this can be cancelled by the customer.
