The next series of NDSU Outlook – Calendar and Email training sessions is now scheduled!
Check out the Class Descriptions, the current schedule, and/or register for the session(s) you want at http://www.ndsu.edu/its/training_resources/facultystaff_training. (Click on the Class Descriptions, or Register for Classes links). All of these sessions are free!
Pre-registration is required. You’ll want to hurry -- classes begin immediately on Monday (01/24/11). Register now to guarantee your space in the class you want!
These sessions are intended for those who have already migrated to NDSU Outlook. We strongly recommend waiting until your account has been migrated to attend. Without an NDSU Outlook account, you cannot participate hands-on during the sessions! More Outlook training sessions will be scheduled in the weeks to come.
There are two different classes available with each repeated at different times and on different days – when you register, be sure to read the class description and register for the session that fits your needs. These sessions are open to new NDSU Outlook users, as well as those NDSU Outlook users who've already used Outlook to work with their previous email account:
- NDSU Outlook 2010 - Email
- Learn to use Outlook 2010 to manage your email more effectively, including customizing the mailbox views, organizing mail into folders, using email signatures, sorting and filtering to quickly find messages, creating rules to automate mail management tasks and other useful tips and tricks.
- NDSU Outlook 2010 - Calendar
- The NDSU Outlook Calendar replaces both Oracle Calendar and the Groupwise Calendar and provides one common calendar solution for the entire campus. We'll explore the many options in the Outlook Calendar. We'll look at some 'simple features' and work our way up to the more advanced features which will hopefully save you some time and make using the calendar a little easier.
Don't forget to bring your questions and ideas to share!
*All classes are held in the ITS Training Room in 246 IACC*
