Marc Wallman, interim vice president for information technology and CIO, has been selected to serve on Internet2’s Network Architecture, Operations and Policy Program Advisory Group.
The advisory group provides strategic advice to Internet2 leadership on all aspects of designing, operating, sustaining and coordinating Internet2 network services.
Internet2 is a member-owned advanced technology community founded by leading higher education institutions in the United States. Internet2 provides a collaborative environment for U.S. research and education organizations to solve common technology challenges and develop innovative solutions in support of their educational, research and community service missions.
NDSU has been a participating member of Internet2 since the community was founded in 1996. Wallman said he is honored to serve on the NAOP program advisory group. “I feel my appointment reflects NDSU’s history of participation and leadership in the nation’s research and education network.”
