Folders and files stored in Novell will be moved to Windows File Services during the first two weekends in March.
- March 1-3: Folders and files in individual user (U:) drives will be moved. Employees who have a U: drive will be unable to access it during this weekend.
- March 8-10: Folders and files in department shared (S:) and cross-department shared (X:) drives will be moved. Employees will be unable to access shared drives during this weekend.
Employees who have access to File Services are being asked to log out and shut down their workstation computers by 6 p.m. on the Friday of each migration weekend to ensure folders and files are moved successfully. Failure to log out could result in lost data or corrupted files.
Once each migration is complete, Employees will be notified they can resume accessing File Services.

What if I need to use my computer or access my files during the weekend?
Shutting down your computer is the best way to guarantee you are completely disconnected from File Services. This ensures that files and folders can be moved over successfully, and also prevents unintentional loss of unsaved changes.

How can I access my folders and files after the migration is complete?
If you have a Windows computer that was joined to the Active Directory domain prior to the migration, your folders and files should appear automatically.
