IT Service Interruption - Wednesday, Aug. 12, 5pm - midnight
Published: 12 August 2009 08:12 AM

Today from 5 p.m. until midnight, several pieces of computer hardware on the campus network will be upgraded.

It is unlikely that users will be impacted by this process; however, there is a remote possibility that some services could be interrupted. Services potentially affected include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Network file storage (typically S: and U: drives)
  • NDSU Web sites
  • Enroll system
  • Remedy
  • E-mail
  • Oracle and GroupWise calendars
  • Online applications and databases

Access to Web sites outside of NDSU will not be affected.

Because availability of these systems may be unpredictable, individuals are encouraged to refrain from using these services during this time. Anyone who will need access to essential files stored on the network during the upgrade period should copy them to their local workstation or storage device before 5 p.m. today.

Please e-mail NDSU.HelpDesk@ndsu.edu or call 231-8685 if you have questions.
