Recent E-mail Scams - including "Ndsu Report"
Published: 25 September 2009 02:10 PM

Many NDSU e-mail users have been receiving fraudulent e-mail messages asking them to provide account and password information.

There are different versions of this message, but these "phishing" scams typically warn of consequences if the user does not reply. These messages may even appear to come from an NDSU e-mail account.

These messages are fake; if you received one, please delete it.

If you responded to one of these fraudulent e-mails with personal information, or you have questions about computer security, please contact the Help Desk at 231-8685 (option 1) or e-mail NDSU.HelpDesk@ndsu.edu.

REMEMBER: ITS will never call or e-mail you to ask for your password or other personal information.
