Assistance available to move content to TYPO3 and PubWeb
Published: 22 October 2009 09:59 AM

Classes and hands-on sessions available to assist individuals who using TYPO3 and PubWeb

One of NDSU's Web servers, which some people refer to as WebDev, will be retired by Nov. 23, 2009. ITS is providing training and hands-on assistance for individuals who need to move content off this server. See the Training Opportunities page for details.

This does not affect Web sites using TYPO3/CMS, nor does it involve Web sites created on the PubWeb service that was launched in July.

Please check the following lists to determine if you have a site on the server being retried. Be sure to check both of the lists -- you may have online content you are not aware

  • Group Sites: Sites owned by departments or groups. These typically were managed by multiple people. The primary owners of each site have been notified that this server is being retired.
  • Individual Sites: Personal Web sites and accounts owned by individuals.

If you need to move your content to a new location, see the Web Hosting Options page for an overview of your options.

In most cases, you will want to move your content to the CMS/TYPO3 system, or to a PubWeb account. See the CMS/TYPO3 Overview Page or the PubWeb Overview Page

  • If you decide to move your content to TYPO3 or the new PubWeb hosting service, training and assistance is currently being offered for both of these options. See the Training Opportunities page.
  • If you have a Web-based program or application running on the server that needs to be moved, please e-mail NDSU.HelpDesk@ndsu.edu or call 231-8685 and a member of the ECI will reply with possible options.
