Minor update this week to ITS-supported PCs
Published: 12 April 2010 03:30 PM

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, an upgrade will automatically be installed on all ITS-supported computers.

This is an upgrade to "ZENworks" -- a program that runs in the background on your computer and is invisible to most users -- which allows ITS to keep computers updated, properly configured and secure.

During the upgrade, you may notice a small pop-up in the task bar that says "ZENworks Update."

The upgrade will take about five minutes and users can keep working on their computers during this time.

After the upgrade is complete, you will be asked if you wish to reboot. If you choose "no," you should reboot the computer at your convenience or simply shut down the system at the end of the day.

Please e-mail the ITS Help Desk or call 231-8685 if you have questions.
