On Wednesday, April 21, McAfee Antivirus released an update for their
product that caused problems with some Windows XP computers.
If your Windows XP computer started experiencing the following problems on Wednesday, it is most likely caused by the McAfee update:
- continually rebooting
- can not connect to the Internet, unable to access any web pages and e-mail
- missing task bar at the bottom
To fix your computer, please visit the fix page provided by McAfee. The Recovery SuperDAT, in Solution 1, can be used to quickly and easily
correct this problem.
If you are unable to fix this problem yourself or the McAfee solution
was unsuccessful, we recommend that you take your computer, along with
the information provided by McAfee, to a local repair center.
