Reminder about Phishing: Yet Another Scam at NDSU
Published: 12 July 2010 10:57 AM

A new phishing scam with the subject line "Emergency Notification" is appearing in NDSU e-mail boxes. The e-mail tells users that they have exceeded their e-mail storage limit and directs them to a fraudulent site where they could disclose their e-mail address and password.

This scam is another reminder that users should be vigilant in protecting their password and other personal information.

If you received this scam e-mail, do not reply -- simply delete the message.

If you provided any personal information as the result of this e-mail, or have questions about IT security, please call the ITS Help Desk at 231-8685 (option 1).
