NDSU makes move to Outlook-based e-mail and calendaring
Published: 29 August 2010 11:11 AM

The North Dakota University System has recently initiated a move to unify e-mail and calendaring across all campuses including NDSU. This migration to Microsoft Outlook will create efficiencies and easier-to-use services, and it will make inter-campus communication more seamless.

At NDSU, this upgrade will eliminate our multiple calendar and e-mail systems; faculty and staff across the entire campus will be enabled to schedule meetings, events and reminders with one another.

In compliance with this systemwide initiative, the IT Division is moving forward rapidly to migrate all employee e-mail, Oracle Calendar and GroupWise accounts to Microsoft Outlook.

We anticipate that the first group migration, which will include the IT Division and GroupWise users, will occur about the middle of September. Additional details on this important transition will be provided through a variety of channels including e-mails, Web resources and informational events.

We look forward to working with you, and we believe that this move will provide employees at NDSU — and across the North Dakota University System — with a more robust, efficient, and user-friendly system for scheduling and e-mail.
