New Outlook users should check junk mailbox
Published: 07 October 2010 04:28 PM

Individuals who have recently switched to Microsoft Outlook are reminded to periodically check their Junk E-mail box to ensure that legitimate e-mails are not being redirected there.

If legitimate e-mail has arrived in the junk mailbox, simply right-click on the message and choose “Junk Mail” and then “Mark as Not Junk Mail.”  You will then be prompted to add the sender’s or receiver’s e-mail address to the list of trusted addresses, which will not be marked as spam in the future.

This issue is more common in Outlook 2007 than Outlook 2010.

If you have questions, please e-mail the IT Help Desk or call 231-8685 (option 1).
