Adobe hacked, password reset notification

Published: 06 November 2013

The NDSU IT security team has confirmed that some NDSU faculty, staff and students were among those Adobe account holders whose Adobe IDs and passwords were accessed illegally through Adobe's network.

Those account holders were recently notified by Adobe via email about important password reset information.

NDSU's IT Help Desk will soon follow up with a notification to encourage those individuals to also change passwords for NDSU IT accounts, including NDSU email accounts, where the same password may have been used.

To protect your sensitive data and NDSU resources, we recommend never using the same password for NDSU IT services as you use for services provided by external organizations.

If you received this notice and have questions, please contact the NDSU IT Help Desk at 231-8685 or ndsu.helpdesk@ndsu.edu.
