Classroom Technology Student Manager
Hours per week: 20-25
Staring Wage: $11.00/hour
Reports to: Classroom Technology Manager
The Classroom Technology Student Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the daily activities of the Classroom Technicians. The student manager reports to, and received direction from the Classroom Technology Manager. In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, the Classroom Technology Student Manager is expected to perform the same duties expected of Classroom Technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize day to day duties of classroom technicians
- Ensure students carry out duties as assigned
- Ensure students stay self tasking using the Remedy Ticket System
- Provide expert assistance with problematic issues
- Manage and organize cluster and classroom imaging updates and installations
- Manage and provide support for employee timeclock system
- Prepare employee payroll twice monthly
- Ensure proper hours are being reported by student employees
- Provide disciplinary action as needed
- Enforce Classroom Technology, STS, ITS, and NDSU policies
- Print daily cluster schedules and ensure their proper placement
- Provide a copy of the schedule to the department web maintainer for internet deployment
- Provide Training for new employees
- Ensure new employees receive follow up training
Minimum Qualifications for Employment:
- Previous Classroom Technician experience
- Proficient knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
- Proficient knowledge of electronics
- Good customer service skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Current NDSU student
Preferred Qualifications for Employment:
- Experience in management or other leadership positions
- Experience working with classroom related audio/visual equipment
- Experience working with cabling and wiring
- Experience troubleshooting problems in a fast paced, high pressure environment
