SMART Board/SMART Notebook Training

Several classrooms at NDSU have interactive SMART Boards or SMART Panels (Podiums) and SMART Notebook 11 software installed. SMART Boards are interactive white boards connected to a computer which allow you to control computer applications from the board, write notes in digital ink, and save your work to share later. Write text and rearrange objects on the board with the touch of your finger or use the pen tools provided with the SMART Board. SMART Panels (Podiums) are tabletop versions of the SMART Board with most of the same functionality of the larger board.

These SMART tools support collaboration in virtually any space and can be used as powerful presentation tools. The SMART Notebook 11 software can be used with or without the SMART Boards/Panels to bring interactivity to your classroom or meetings.

The Notebook 11 software is installed in all of the classrooms currently equipped with SMART Boards or Panels and NDSU faculty, staff, and students can download the software for free to their own workstations whether they have access to the SMART hardware or not! In this class you'll learn how to use the SMART hardware and software, plus you'll learn how the SMART Notebook 11 software can be used wherever SMART hardware is not available!

Come and learn more about the SMART technology -- you'll leave with lots of ideas how you can use these tools for collaboration and engagement!
