Several FREE emporium-style training sessions will be held in the IT Training Room, Quentin Burdick Building 150D:

Open sessions:

These sessions are now full:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. - noon
  • Thursday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. - noon
  • Monday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, 12/2, 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

All sessions are available to staff and faculty who work with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The first several minutes will include a brief demonstration of the Office 2013 training software now available and provide you with information on how you can improve your skills in Microsoft Office applications while working toward earning an official Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification. MOS Certifications are the official credential backed by Microsoft and recognized world-wide as demonstration of proficiency in Office applications.

The remainder of the class is an emporium style session utilizing a guided self-discovery approach to learning and can accommodate all levels of expertise, whether you are just starting to work with Office 2013 or are an advanced user with years of experience. Since this is a flexible learning environment, you are welcome to stay for as much of the session as your schedule allows and are welcome and encouraged to bring your questions about how you can utilize Office applications to perform your work more effectively.

Seating is limited to 20 people, but additional sections will be opened later as demand requires.

We hope to see you there!
