The NDSU Pride Network is sponsoring the first Metro Mixer on
Thursday, March 5, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ushers House, 700
1st Ave. N., Moorhead. Organizers are seeking to develop networks
of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and ally professionals in
the community who can work independently and collectively to
identify and address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender people on local college campuses and in other
professional settings.
As efforts of the NDSU Pride Network have become known in the
larger Fargo-Moorhead community, representatives from area
colleges have contacted the NDSU Pride Network requesting
collaborations and guidance on how to create similar groups on
their campuses. The purpose of the Metro Mixer is to network and
offer a model to local campuses and companies. Members of the
Pride Network also hope to build collaborations for additional
community support.
This event is open to faculty, staff, graduate students and area
professionals who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.
Attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes. For more
